Just Left the ER? Here’s How Ally Medical Eases Billing Stress

Emergencies are stressful enough without worrying about billing. At Ally Medical, we strive to make the process as seamless as possible. From insurance claims to payment options, we’re here to guide you through every step.

Step 1: Submitting Claims to Your Insurance

After your ER visit, Ally Medical’s billing team submits claims to your insurance provider on your behalf. Even though we are out of network with all carriers, Texas law requires insurance companies to cover emergency room visits at in-network rates. We handle the paperwork for you, ensuring claims are processed correctly, and will reach out if any issues arise.

Step 2: Receiving Your Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

Next, you’ll receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance company. This is not a bill—it outlines the services received, what the insurance has paid, and what’s left unpaid. Keep in mind, these figures may change with in-network adjustments, so wait for Ally Medical’s final statement to see your accurate responsibility.

Step 3: Awaiting Your Official Statement

Your final statement from Ally Medical will reflect any insurance payments and adjustments, giving you a clear picture of what you owe. This will include a detailed breakdown of services and your cost share after insurance. If you have any questions, our customer service team is available to help.

Step 4: Understanding Your Two Bills

You may receive two separate bills: one for the facility and another for professional services. The facility bill covers the emergency room, while the professional services bill includes care provided by doctors and specialists. Depending on your case, you might receive a combined bill or two separate statements. Our team is here to ensure everything is clearly outlined.

Step 5: Payment Options and Financial Assistance

Once you have your final statement, Ally Medical offers several payment options, including an online portal, phone, and mail payments. If financial hardship is a concern, we offer flexible payment plans and a Care Relief Program for those who qualify. Reach out to our billing advocates for more information.

Step 6: Reaching Out for Help

If you have any questions about your bill or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team. We are committed to making the billing process as straightforward as possible, helping you navigate charges and payment options with ease.
